Information for clients
We've put together some information about our translation and editing processes – translation software, editing software, certified translations, our procedures and our fees – that we hope you'll find useful, especially if you're a new client.
If you have a translation or editing project, drop us a line if you’d like us to send you a quote. To calculate the fee, we need to see the source text (your document or copy) to assess not just the page count but also the complexity of the layout and any formatting issues.
In the meantime, the following information is intended purely as guidance. You’ve probably done some shopping around. We have too, and we think our fees represent pretty good value, as our quality is right up there at the top end of the scale.
Fees and payments – some practicalities
We charge by the page: a standard page = 1500 characters including spaces. But we’d be happy to send you a quote based on the word count.
Minimum charge for translation and editing projects: £50 (except for certificates).
Page/word counts for translations are based on the source language.
If you’re an agency client, please contact us directly to discuss.
We apply surcharges of 15% to 50% in the following cases:
- urgent projects or projects requiring work at weekends and public holidays
- translation or editing projects from scanned or hard copy (paper) and other non-standard source-text formats
To avoid surcharges, please send us your project in good time. If you know that you have a rush job coming up, it’s helpful if you notify us in advance. That way, we can arrange our schedule and set aside plenty of time and attention for your project.
How to pay
You can pay us by bank transfer in GBP or EUR, whichever is most convenient – just let us know which you prefer.
Our fees are subject to review, at our discretion.
